How to apply?

Applying to WHAM Sixth Form Consortium

www.kentchoices4u.com is the new and improved Kent Area Prospectus. It has information on all the opportunities available to young people aged 14-19 in Kent, including those at the WHAM Sixth Form, local schools, FE Colleges and Work Based Learning.

Year 11 students from Aylesford Sports College, Holmesdale Technology College, Malling School and Wrotham School will for the third year running be using the area prospectus to make their post 16 applications online.

The website is accessible from any computer with Internet access which is available to your son or daughter in school. However, we recommend that students and their parents and carers use this resource together when making important choices about the future. If you do not have access to a computer at home, free Internet access is available at your local Connexions Access Point or library.

How do I use the website?

Your son or daughter will be given a special Unlock code at school, which will enable them to open a secure online applications account. He/she will at the same time receive instruction on how to use the website.

When do I start making applications?

Applications to popular college courses should begin after the WHAM open day. The school Connexions Personal Adviser will be able to assist you further. Applications to local schools outside the WHAM Sixth Form should begin after their open evenings and it is likely that these schools will require a paper application. The Area Prospectus will advise you on which schools receive applications online.

Applying to the WHAM Sixth Form

All applications to the WHAM Sixth Form should be made online. This year there is just one listing for all the schools called “WHAM Sixth Form.” Make sure you send your application there rather than the individual schools.

Support and advice on how to use the website is available from your son or daughter’s school or from their connexions PA.
