Sixth Form Forum

Hi! We’re the WHAM Sixth Form Forum. We meet regularly to discuss matters relating to the Consortium. We have already organised events for Comic Relief. These were all very successful and helped to raise money for this important charity which does so much for people both at home and abroad. We are currently in the process of planning inter-schools sports events which will take place in the summer.

Our vision is to build stronger links across the four schools, by organising these events and so far the response has been excellent. Equally as important is the input we have in reviewing the provision in the sixth form and its development. We meet regularly with the Heads of Sixth and the Headteachers of the schools to discuss all aspects of the sixth form to discuss how ways we can ensure that the quality of provision is constantly improved to meet the ever changing needs of the students and as our numbers grow year on year. So if you have any thoughts please talk to us so we can put these forward.

Last term we suggested that the Consortium should look at video conferencing to support learning across the schools and in the Summer Term we will be involved in looking at different video conferencing packages.

As students in the Consortium, we have had first hand experience of what life is like. We want to draw on this experience to help you by answering any questions you might have about the WHAM Consortium and what the Consortium can offer you.
